Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.
The incident – described by police as was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – led to train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
