Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A representative for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
