Dan Burn A nuisance on corners and free-kicks, per usual, perhaps is another option to his teammate in the backline instead of alongside him. One wayward distribution after the break came close to an opener from Albania. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly A further confident display by the youngster following his first cap against another side. A teammate was unable to take full advantage of an exquisite backheel behind the Albania defence. The left-back spot is his to lose at this stage. 7

Adam Wharton A debut start for his country. Somewhat sloppy on the ball but his inswinging deliveries were a threat. An effective pace-controller for the boss to call upon against defensive opponents. Shown a yellow after a reckless challenge. 6/10

The midfielder Set-pieces from corners and free-kicks created chances. Enjoyed room to roam in left midfield yet found himself in an offside position upon receiving in front of goal. Given a merited substitution after an hour. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Played in a forward spot down the right while also put in dirty work. Displayed moments of class and dragged an effort high. Replaced late on for a teammate, a fellow player, following a yellow card. 7

The winger Had England’s top opening of the first half, his effort excellently kept out by the opposing goalkeeper. As a teammate holding position, he had to offer an outlet on the right yet his deliveries into the box varied in quality. Replaced with 15 to go. 6

The captain The difference-maker netting 77th and 78th goals for his country. The opener a typical opportunist's goal and the second a classy header having drifted away from his marker. Aged 32, he continues to improve and the side stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him leading the line. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Found it tough to make an impact out wide. Had a decent opportunity when set up by Bellingham but Strakosha made the save. His replacement had a greater effect in his place. Five
