Analysis has identified that approximately 90 flights associated to Jeffrey Epstein are said to have landed at and took off from UK airfields, with some allegedly carrying women from the UK who assert they were victimized by the found guilty sex offender.
The flight logs were among thousands of court documents and files made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been made public over the past year. The analysis uncovered 87 aircraft movements tied to Epstein ā encompassing many that were previously unknown ā arriving or departing from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Unnamed āfemalesā were documented among the passengers travelling into and out of the UK. Crucially, 15 of these UK flights happened subsequent to Epsteinās 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a minor.
āThis is āshockingā that there had never been a āfull-scale UK investigationā into his operations in the country,ā said US lawyers acting for numerous Epstein survivors.
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors aided the conviction of Epsteinās accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. However, that individual has not received any contact by British law enforcement, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police indicated they had ānot been provided with any new evidence that would support restarting the investigation.ā They commented, āIf new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, including any resulting from the release of documents in the US, we will review it.ā
Proposed legislation to release every document held by the US government in concerning Epstein was approved by the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. A vast number of documents are projected to be made public.
In a related development, a US judge ordered last week that the department could make public case files from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epsteinās close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the charges.
