Mohamed Salah Extends Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has revealed that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the team after the uproar from his televised remarks.

The Incident

Salah was left out from a vital match following voicing frustrations and suggesting his relationship with manager had broken down.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I'm sorry.’”

Arne Slot has refused to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the player.

Moving Forward

He emphasized that the team's response stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” he continued.

He also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is less of an issue. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s concerning.”

Team Form

Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the initial controversy. He feels the outburst were not intended to cause disruption.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, performing and on a positive run.”
