'Living a Nightmare': Relatives of Unaccounted For Teenagers Desperately Seek News After Ski Resort Inferno

The loved ones of teenagers missing after a tragic inferno at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for confirmed information and appealing for any details about their children via social media.

The blaze ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Confirmed video reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have warned that it could take an extended period to formally name the those who perished of the disaster, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and hurt another over a hundred. Authorities said on Friday that the majority of the injured have been identified, with work still underway to identify the final individuals.

In the waiting period, loved ones have been using online platforms to request clues about their missing relatives who were present at the venue that night.

Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For

The fate of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his mother.

The resident of Lutry near Lausanne, told a publication that she had returned to Lausanne to check whether he was in the medical facility, while his other parent did the equivalent search in the capital, but did not locate him.

"This is a living nightmare, an ordeal. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in a serious state. Words cannot describe it," she stated.

She added that some of his friends had been found with burns covering nearly half their bodies. "There are no words; they endured an absolute nightmare."

The Italian government has said that six of its young people are still unaccounted for.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage promising athlete, who hailed from Genoa but now living in Dubai.

The national sporting body has said that he is deceased, without mentioning the fire, honoring a "young athlete who embodied passion and authentic values."

His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An official spokesperson has clarified that a official announcement of his death is not yet.

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise among the missing. His parent told reporters that he had been on holiday but had gone out with friends and found himself at the venue.

"Someone with him informed me they ran away after the fire broke out and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he they were separated," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.
